1969 50th Anniversary Mug

A wonderful piece of inner-company swag, this ceramic coffee mug was modeled after the restaurant's 10oz glass mug and was given to store owners to celebrate the chain's 50th anniversary.

It has a raised circular area in the front with gold letters reading "REFRESHING AMERICA FOR HALF A CENTURY" arching over the top half separated by leaf clusters and the dates "1919-1969" completing the circle at the bottom. In the center, also in gold, are the raised A&W logo and "50th" with the word "anniversary" underneath. The bottom of the mug reads: "Florence Ceramics a division of Scripto"
